Simulating Displacement Vessels

Good morning,

First I would like to thank you for making a version of your 3D VPP available to the general public (-: I am originally a merchant master mariner by trade but learned sailing first. I have been 3D modelling watercraft since the late eighties & currently researching accurate reconstruction of smallish 17th century Dutch merchant vessels. I had a play with your 2 foiling 3D models included with the community version but I am curious if simulating the performance of displacement vessels would deliver reasonably accurate results too?
